Karen Prince has left her Chicago law practice to live and paint in the Galena countryside.  Then a beautiful 4th of July day with her boyfriend Ken turns deadly!  Ken's friend is killed and Karen is in hot pursuit of the killer.  Along the way Karen learns about the exciting world of the Hunter and Jumper Horse Show Circuit, Midwest Indian artifacts, and winemaking at a Galena winery.  She also encounters drug dealers, horse swindlers and art thieves in this fast paced who-done-it.
