I accept commissions each year and enjoy working with patrons to create a work especially for them. The first step is to become familiar with my painting style and consider the size and subject you are interested in having painted. We will meet and discuss ideas, after which I will prepare several small color studies of possible paintings. From the small studies, we will agree upon the design and size for the oil painting. I will then prepare a full size pastel study of the painting. Once we agree upon that pastel design, I will then create the final oil painting. Working together this way, we are both assured of my creating a painting we will all be very happy with.
This painting was completed in January, 2008. The design features rare blue poppies with an Arts and Crafts Vase and table runner to complement its intended setting.
This painting was commissioned in fall of 2007. The subject is the view from the first hole at the General Golf Course at Eagle Ridge.
